The braking of the bread
There is a romanian custom to tear a bread over the groom’s head at the end of the ceremony. The number of crumbs may indicate the number of children the groom will have. The guests gather and keep these crumbs because they bring luck. For bigger weddings so as the guests would not leave empty handed, bigger breads would be baked. Through time the bread has been replaced and eventually we ended up the cale we all know.
